OFFICIAL SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS

The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) is a non-profit organization, which is designated to promote the trade and investment activities of the territory. IPIM’s main responsibilities: To provide information on local investment environment and opportunities to potential investors and also provide One-Stop Service including information enquiries, project assessment, assistance in company registration by IPIM’s notary, guidance in administrative procedures concerning licence applications, project follow-ups and assistance in the implementation of projects; To provide trade, economic, market analysis and statistical information to assist enterprises in exploring the market and developing businesses; To organize and co-organise exhibitions and other promotional events, actively participates in trade and economic events held in Mainland, Macao and overseas, create business opportunities by providing financial incentive for local enterprises, especially SMEs; To organize local business delegations for overseas visits, welcome overseas delegations, in order to create opportunities for information exchange and co-operation, particularly assist SMEs to open new markets; Responsible for the issue of licences, technical assistance and supervision for non-financial offshore institutions. To organize promotional activities to foster the development of non-financial offshore institutions in Macao; To access and approve residency applications of investor, management personnel and/or technical personnel; Publication of trade and economic periodicals to promote Macao’s business environment.


The Macau Government Tourist Office referred to as MGTO, is a service charged with pursuing the overall goals defined for the Territory's tourism Sector. MGTO has 5 sub-divisions. They are: Licensing and Inspections Department; Promotion & Marketing Department; Product Development & Special Projects Department; Research and Planning Department and Administrative and Finance Division. MGTO also has under its auspices the Tourism Activities Center abbreviated to CAT, which is equivalent to a division. CAT is responsible for promoting and supporting meetings, exhibition festivals and other events of tourist interest. Within the scope of the MGTO, there is a Tourism Fund that is regulated by separate legislation. Under the Administrative and Finance Division, there is a Tourism Fund Support Sector, which is responsible for preparing the proposal for the Tourism Fund's independent budget and producing the accounts for the Tourism Fund. To have a good link with the world in promoting Macau's tourism, MGTO has set up 17 marketing or public relations representatives all around the globe, including Mainland China; Hong Kong; Taiwan, China; Japan; South Korea; Malaysia; Philippines; Singapore; Thailand; India; Australia; New Zealand; United States; Belgium; Germany; Portugal and France.
